Ben Spannuth

Senior Associate

London

Ben is a solicitor in the firm’s construction, engineering and infrastructure group.

He advises on a wide range of contentious matters and regularly acts for engineers, architects, contractors, surveyors and insurers on construction and professional negligence disputes both in the UK and internationally.

Ben has acted for both defendants and claimants and has experience of litigation, arbitration and adjudication proceedings. Recent matters that Ben has been involved in include acting for a major newspaper manufacturer in its £30m claim against a German machinery supplier and advising contractors in relation to a major public arts project in Morocco.

Ben trained and qualified with the firm. During his training contract, Ben spent six months on secondment to a leading insurer to assist with the handling of claims within its professional and financial risks department. During that time he handled claims and advised professionals in the financial and construction industries, gained invaluable commercial experience from an in-house perspective.
